What is MARITEX?
MARITEX is a service for people with Japanese mobile phone (NTT Docomo, au, Softbank, E-Mobile) that want to send SMS to the rest of the world. Using the e-mail function of the Japanese phone, MARITEX enables the sending and receiving of international SMS messages for an affordable rate.
A personal computer, GSM capabilities, or a SIM cards are not necessary.

Affordable price
While most carriers charge up to 100 yen for sending one international SMS and other services charge on average 20 yen per message, MARITEX offers packages that allows you to send for just 10 yen per message. Depending on the purchased package, the cost of sending one message will change. The larger the package is, the better the value.
We are able to provide this low price by reducing costs. Where possible and without sacrificing quality, we have automated processes and reduced labor costs. But this doesn't mean inferior customers support, as all customer contacts are handled individually and on a personal level.

Freedom of choice
Competitors mainly focus on international telephone service. International SMS is simply an add-on feature for them and used as a strategy to lure in customers for their international telephone service. Most of these services use prepaid cards to bundle both international SMS and international telephone service together, forcing the customer into both programs.
On the other hand, MARITEX focuses only on international SMS. We want to provide a better and less expensive service to our customers. We do not want our customers to feel trapped in a plan that does not suit them.

Multi-country support
Other services focus their support on countries with the largest number of potential customers in Japan such as China and the Philippines. For customers that would like to communicate with friends in other countries, e-mail is the only option.

MARITEX uses technology to correspond with our customers. There is no need for printing and mailing prepaid cards. We strive to offer a service that cares for the world and its inhabitants.
